Collection: Jessica Torres Rojas "Manos Making"

Jessica Torres is an architect turned on textile artist, who during the pandemic found an antidote to confinement in embroidery.

"Manos Making" was born where her academic training and geometry, using wool as a vehicle to spin virtual spaces whom telling stories.

My textile project tries to weave contemporary art with the apparent domestic mind, through the punch needle embroidery technique. Combining my training in architecture with my interest in abstraction geometric, my intention is to provide an unconventional approach to a medium considered traditional. My works are an ode to repetition, which
through a single movement, makes a way for the ordered intuition.
