Thelma Arias

Hello, I am Thelma Arias, a passionate visual artist who has traveled the end of the world and I want to share with you a bit of my history and world through my brushes and colors.

My training began in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I immersed myself in the world of oil and acrylic in the artistic workshop of Marta Zurro. Then, I entered the "National University of Arts" to obtain my Bachelor of Visual Arts. I did a Diploma in Art Anthropology, taught by CIESAS and the Transdisciplinary Research and Reinvention Laboratory, Mexico, 2019. After that I did university internships at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Santiago, Chile.
Throughout my career, I have dedicated myself to exploring abstract Neo-expressionism, a technique that allows me to portray the development of the elemental, primitive and gestural being.
I invite you to get to know my works, full of symbolism and expression, and with which I constantly seek to unravel surreal and abstract moments that come from my memory and environment.
